One-Year Limited Warranty

Downstage Systems LLC ("Downstage", "we") stands behind the hardware we build. This warranty explains what is covered, what we will do, and how to reach us.

What is covered

We warrant Downstage-branded hardware (the Cue Mini, Cue 360, Hex talent light, Downstage One and Downstage View) against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for one year from the date it is delivered to the original purchaser.

What we will do

If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will, at our option, repair the product, replace it with a new or refurbished product that works the same, or, if neither is possible, refund what you paid for it. A repaired or replacement product is covered for the rest of the original warranty period or 90 days, whichever is longer.

How to make a claim

Email hello@downstage.systems before the warranty period ends, with your order number, the product's serial number and what is wrong. A photo or a short video of what the light shows helps. We will reply with what to do next. Many problems can be fixed by email, with a setting, a reset or an update. If we ask you to send the product in, we will email you a prepaid shipping label, and we pay to ship the repaired or replacement product back to you. Both apply within the United States.

What is not covered

• Damage from accidents, drops, liquid, fire, misuse or neglect.
• Damage from a power source other than a USB power source within its rating, or from connecting the product to equipment it is not designed for.
• Damage caused by opening, modifying or repairing the product. Opening the product does not by itself end this warranty.
• Problems caused by firmware or software not supplied by Downstage.
• Normal wear and cosmetic marks, including the layer lines and small variations of 3D-printed parts, and the normal loss of battery capacity over time.
• Software made by others, such as Bitfocus Companion and Ontime, which their makers support.

You do not need to use any particular brand of cable, charger or accessory to keep this warranty.

Returns and pre-orders

This warranty is in addition to our returns policy. You can cancel a pre-order any time before it ships for a full refund. Once a product arrives, you have 30 days to return it in working condition for a refund; you pay the shipping on a return.

Your legal rights

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the one-year length of this warranty. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limit may not apply to you.

To the extent the law allows, Downstage is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, such as a missed cue, lost income or a show that had to stop. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this may not apply to you.
